Phantom Blade Zero Whence the Weeping: Marker and Progress
Look under Story, not Tales. The early regional marker does not identify a precise destination, and the quest detail can lack a Track button.

Open the correct quest
Open Quests, keep the Story category selected, highlight Whence the Weeping and select it. On default PC controls, use the arrow keys and Space; hovering with the mouse may not move the selection.
Why the marker seems unhelpful
Its opening objective asks you to find the weeping. The marker overlaps the Weeping Creek Valley region label. Use a bell’s Traverse menu to revisit discovered bells there. The absence of a Track button alone does not establish that your save is broken.
When can it advance?
The available evidence confirms later objectives at the Shrine on the Mountain of Imprisonment: reach the summit shrine, then enter beneath it. It does not establish the exact earliest unlock trigger, so this guide does not promise a chapter or boss prerequisite.
Finish before the bridge
Complete those shrine objectives before crossing from Pangzhen backstreet to Mirage Estate. That crossing blocks both steps. Save before committing to the crossing and review unfinished Story entries.
